An electric motor is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. It is the use of the wire coil (that is, the stator windings) to produce a rotating magnetic field and for the rotor (such as cage closed aluminum box) to form a magneto-electric power rotation torque. Electric motors are divided into DC motor and AC motor according to the power supply, and most of the motor in Electric power system is AC motor, which can be synchronous motor or asynchronous motor (motor stator magnetic field speed and rotor rotational speed do not keep synchronous speed).
